My fellow Coachella faces were: Elena Hight, Greg Bretz, Luke Mitrani, Hayley Simpson, Jack Mitrani, Danny Davis, Cole Barash, with frequent glimpses of Chanelle Saldics, Gabi Viteri and Kjersti Buaas.
Let me first start off by saying I have never been to a music festival and I didn’t exactly know what I was signing up for. I called Elena a couple weeks ago, and we randomly started talking about our plans and decided that we must take control of our schedules, and we decided to schedule in some festival time filled with music, dancing, BBQ’s, friends, and did I mention dancing? Cause there were nights filled with endless amounts of dancing!
I don’t want to explain what everything is like at Coachella because everyone needs to go check it out for themselves. If you are with the right people and you’re up for a good time, then Coachella will most definitely be a success. Some of the bands that I really enjoyed were The Givers, The Black Keys, The Shins, Florence and The Machine, and of course Day 3’s headliner Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre with surprise performances from Eminen, Wiz Khalifa, and 50 Cent. Wiz Khalifa joined Snoop Dogg to sing their new hit “Young, Wild, & Free” which everyone went crazy for. Tupac also made an appearance as a hologram and performed with Snoop and Dre.
Hope you guys enjoy the pictures!

Hi Everyone:
Just returned home from Retallack, British Columbia, a few days ago. I went to B.C. with Gretchen for New Years, to seek out some powder because there is a huge shortage everywhere else! We definitely found some when we got there. Neither of us checked the weather beforehand and we ended up scoring. It snowed every night, at least 20 cm, and fresh snow everyday. It was unique for me and Gretchen to be on a trip where we weren’t shooting or competing, and it was definitely a cool vibe to just be shredding and enjoying the mountains.
The avalanche risk was high when we were there, every time I go on a backcountry trip I’m reminded how no matter how safe and cautious we are, we are always in the hands of Mother Nature, and she is powerful and sends reminders often. We had a great group of people there on the trip, everyone ripped. Not to mention quite a few of the people worked for Oakley, so I was in good hands if I fell and got snow in my goggles.
New years was a great time, filled with bonfires, shotskis, dancing, charades, and fire blowing! Great way to end a year and start off a new one!
Happy 2012 People!

Hi Everyone!
Hope you’re all gearing up for the holidays with some cheer; I just got back from Colorado and I’m getting really excited for Christmas! Colorado was a great time, lots of good riding with the US Team and some other friends. Colorado beat me up a little bit over the past couple weeks. I had a rough fall in the Dew Tour practice. You can check out my fall on my facebook page, I decked out doing a Michael Chuck and landed on my chest. I ended up bruising my sternum but luckily I was able to compete the next day, needless to say I was pretty sore. Everyone rode really well in finals, congrats to Gretchen and Kelly, loved watching them and so great to see all the progression going down! Hope everyone has a great Christmas!

Hey Everyone,
I Just got to Colorado and finally had a minute to look at all the photos I have from my time at home with the family over Thanksgiving! I went back east to Connecticut for two days and was fortunate enough to see all of my cousins on my Dad’s side. It was very special because with everyone having busy jobs, we hardly get together.
Anyways, I had great weather for the two days I was home and every minute was spent with family, so what more could I ask for? We also ate delicious food of course, and were spoiled with way too many pies! I hope you like the photos of my family and me. I’ll be posting a blog about Colorado very soon! Stay tuned!
Cheers, Elles
